Mayan Calendar Wavespells — November 29, 2010

Wavespell of the Blue Eagle
November 29-December 11, 2010

The Wavespell of the Blue Eagle starts November 29, with thirteen days to expand our Vision and see the big picture!

When we live from our ego, we struggle with our daily routines and problems, we feel blind and confused and it seems as if we were not able to grasp it. When we are connected from our soul, we are able to detach from the mundane and attain a wider perspective; we can be objective, take action and find solutions to any difficulty.

“You can’t see the forest for the trees.” You have probably heard that saying before, but do you know what it means. It means that if we get deeply immersed or only focused on the details, we get stuck and we are not able see the larger picture. In other words, by being caught up in the day-to-day, we lose sight of life as a whole and the reason why we are here. We may experience an inner separation from all that is, feeling distracted and overwhelmed.

At the same time, the other way around is also true: if we only stay in an abstract mode, we may miss important information, which can help us to decipher a specific situation.

We all have problems, but we have different ways of dealing with them. Detachment doesn’t mean to be dissociated from what is happening. During the Wavespell of the Blue Eagle, we are asked to find balance between seeing the whole while also paying attention to the details.

Is the tree stopping you from seeing the forest? Do you comprehend that the forest is more than the sum of trees? On the other hand, are you lost in the forest? Do you even notice the trees?

**********

Living on a superficial level, with the illusion of keeping things as they are for not suffering or feeling pain, just ends up hurting us in the long run! When we consciously choose to elevate ourselves, we see life from above and are able to perceive things from a different angle.

Our increasing awareness allows us to free ourselves from falling into the trap of our ego. It is true that sometimes what we see is not how we would like it to be, which can be quiet uncomfortable. Nevertheless, denying what we are facing will eventually discourage and block us from being happy. The Blue Eagle invites us to observe things as they truly are, with no judgment or criticism, and to make the necessary changes with confidence and commitment in order to create the life we want! When you look at your own life as it is right now, do you like what you see or you feel the need to change directions in certain aspects?

We are all part of the web of life where everything is interconnected. As the Mayan greeting In Lak’esh reminds us, whatever we do on an individual level ends up affecting the whole. With an integrated vision, we expand our consciousness and we understand that our personal role not only influences our own path but it also has an impact on the entire web. Through responsibility, and by using the power of our minds to create our reality for the highest good, we connect to the collective mind and we evolve into the global consciousness.

Our self-imposed limiting beliefs keep us trapped in a narrow vision of what life is about and how we perceive reality. Are you willing to open yourself up and become a global visionary?

It’s time to spread your wings and feel the freedom to fly… high!

In Lak’esh,

Yellow Electric Star

In Lak’esh means “I am another yourself!” a Mayan greeting that recognizes the divine in each living being. It’s a message of unity that reminds us that, when we give, we are also receiving. In this way, the Mayan honored and respected each other, reinforcing the belief that we are all interconnected: what we do to others and to our environment will also affect ourselves in the end.
