Carlton. I was watching an episode of Touched by an Angel, and Tess said, “Believe in Yourself.” How does one truly apply this statement to one’s life?

Jay, believing in one’s self is truly the essence of how we determine our outcome in daily living. Your dominant thought colors every decision you make. It establishes a mental pattern which consciously and unconsciously finds its expression in every act you make. What one thinks of their self can cast their fate; one harms themselves by their own negative thoughts. One should empower oneself with what they are given, using their creative energy to accomplish dreams and goals, thus begins the path way to success. .

In truth they are self-motivated and affirm that good things will come to them. Every human being believes differently about almost everything that occurs in their environment and world affairs. If one does not attempt, then he is already defeated. Congratulate yourself on your lofty ambitions and dreams. There is no terrain one cannot overcome. When all is said and done “making the most of ourselves” is something only we can accomplish. One is only a victim if they allow themselves to become one.

As a person’s knowledge increases in regards to their interest and goals, contemplation broadens its base thus deepening their perspective so that they become heightened for its receptivity of good things to come. One must zero in on what they determine truly matters most in their quest for success, harmony, joy in life, happiness in a love relationship, and success in their choice of careers.

Our significant role models in life give us an unparalleled platform on which we build the foundation of self-worth and self-esteem. One cannot be bothered with events or things beyond our control. It is the big picture of one’s actions that forms the pathway in which one is led. We learn each and every day, and consciously take the best from all we meet—in other words we invest every day in decisions that lead us to success.

If you fail in a project or goal, the failure could be because the other person was just better and more prepared than you. As the saying goes, “dust yourself off and start all over again.” It has been proven time and time again that every person who achieves excellence has stayed steadfast with their plan, and will readily admit it is a continual effort applied with great diligence. Seek advice from successful people whom you admire. Take a moment to stop and listen to your inner dialogue, to listen to things you repeat endlessly to yourself. The use of positive affirmations is a wonderful way to reconnect consciously with what you have chosen to do.

No matter how seemingly impossible the situation may be or how difficult the road ahead appears, stay the course and do not become discouraged. The law of cause and effect works in perfect order. There is a divine plan for each person. Moreover one must learn to realize that honorable thoughts, true statements and good acts and deeds, are an enforcement of the Law of the Mind. If one will persist in patience, the pathway to reality will appear. If one is courageous and happy in their endeavor’s, doubts will be banished, fear will not prevail, and negation will no longer be in ones thoughts, thus a calm declaration with calm mind will occur with Divine assurance.

     And so it is!
