Wavespell of the Red Serpent and the Blue Castle
December 24, 2011 — January 5, 2012
On December 24, 2011 the Wavespell of the Red Serpent starts with thirteen days to follow our instincts and shed our past.
The Serpent represents the foundation of our desires and motivations, the instinct of survival, primary life force and vitality. During the Wavespell of the Red Serpent we are asked to act upon our gut-feelings, listen to our body and take care of our health.
The Serpent as an Archetype
For many cultures around the world, the serpent is an ancient symbol of passion, sensuality, life and rebirth, representing the integration of the masculine and feminine energies. Based on our root chakra (located at the base of our spine), the coiled serpent embodies the Kundalini energy that awakens our creative force and activates highest states of consciousness.
The Serpent is one of the archetypes of the healer, the one who teaches us to go into the deepest parts within and shed our personal past the way the serpent sheds its skin.
Alberto Villoldo, psychologist and anthropologist, wrote several books based on his experience and studies for over two decades on Inca shamanic healing practices. Alberto explains that the Inca Medicine Wheel or the journey of the Four Winds begins in the South with the path of the Serpent. In order to connect with our own healing powers and gain control over our destiny, we must first confront and free ourselves from our past.

Beginning of the Blue Castle
The Wavespell of the Red Serpent initiates the Blue Castle of Chaos and Transformation, the third of five castles within the 260-day Tzolkin cycle. We have 52 days to continue changing, transforming and growing! This castle is also known as the Castle of Burning as it contains the two GAP columns and the Mystic Column.
GAP Days columns — Galactic Activation Portals
When we look into the Harmonic Module, we see two darker columns of 10 consecutive days each containing Galactic Activation Portals. A GAP day is a day in which we experience higher frequencies and intensity. On an ego level, those days may feel “messy” and overwhelming. When connected on a soul level, these portals serve as gateways to receive cosmic wisdom, increase our consciousness and accelerate our process of transformation.
The first GAP-day column falls on December 25, 2011 until January 3, 2012. As this column is in the Wavespell of the Red Serpent, we need to pay special attention to our body and health.
The second column is on February 3-12, 2012. I will share with you its meaning during the Wavespell of the Yellow Seed.
Core Days—Mystic Column
The Harmonic Module is the matrix that contains the Tzolkin cycle of 260 days. There are 13 columns of 20 days each. The seventh column in the middle is called the Mystic Column, which symbolically represents our spine that keeps us aligned and centered. This column can be understood as a period of attunement of 20 days called Core Days, time to be present in the moment with all our senses, to go within and rest. Although also intense, it serves as a pause in between the two GAP-day columns.

One year of transition to a New World Age
As I have been sharing with you in previous messages, December 21, 2012 represents the end of the Mayan Long-Count Calendar of 5,125 years and the Great Cycle of 26,000 years.
We are blessed to be part of this significant shift in human evolution. More than ever, it is important to go out of our automatic pilot and to become responsible for our individual paths by healing our wounds from the past and continue transforming our shadows.

I wish you and your beloved ones Happy Holidays and a magical New (Gregorian) Year with lots of transformation and renewed energies!

In Lak’esh means “I am another yourself!”, a Mayan greeting that recognizes the Divine in each living Being. It’s a message of Unity that reminds us that, when we give, we are also receiving. In this way, the Mayan honored and respected each other, reinforcing the belief that we are all interconnected: what we do to others and to our environment will also affect ourselves in the end…
