Survival or Thrival?

By Sandy Penny

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

—Eleanor Roosevelt (1884-1962)

Have you noticed the word “thrive” showing up all over the place these days? There’s a whole thrive movement now. When I was shown a positive future vision in 1994, I was told that now is the time we have to move out of survival mode into thrival mode. At a time when many people are not thriving as well as they have in the past, we are being asked to shift our consciousness into a new paradigm, that “we can be paid to do what we love, and the measure of success is joy.”

In the past, most of us have been controlled by our circumstances, and because the planet was dealing with her own issues of survival, we were tied into that energy. The planet has now moved in the second chakra of relationships, and it's time to move with the planetary energy into the next step in our conscious evolution, creating sacred relationships / partnerships.

New resources are being revealed to us that will solve the energy crisis, the water limitations and food and shelter issues. We have all the resources we need to allow every being on the planet to thrive. Whether we have been trained that way or not, it's time to overcome greed and provide properly for everyone on this planet.

Just because one is smarter or plays the game better than another, and can accumulate vast wealth, it does not absolve them of the responsibility for other people on this planet. The resources of this planet are intended to be shared by all of us, and visitors who are temporarily renting a room on hotel earth, it’s time for us to be respectful of and manage the resources respectfully. Would you like a guest to come to your home and squander your resources and disrespect you while accepting your hospitality?

This battle about socialism or capitalism is not the real debate. The underlying question is, do we, as souls who volunteered to come to this planet, deserve to have the basic resources to do what we came here to do? Should we be paid or rewarded for dedicating our time to the service of humanity? And, whether you know it or not, every one of us is dedicated to the service of humanity and earth. The fate of humanity is inextricably intertwined with the earth’s health.

Again, one of the primary new age paradigms is, “You can be supported doing what you love to do.” Are you ready to embrace that paradigm? The age of suffering is over; we can now choose to learn through joy. We can now release all those old limitations and create from love.

My understanding is that during the Piscean Age, which just ended, we and the earth were working on first chakra issues of survival: like power and control, and coming to terms with small group consciousnesses—like family, tribe, workplace, country and race.

Now we have moved into the world consciousness, and to maintain allegiances to the smaller while allowing others to suffer is to limit our experience of the abundance of this world. It also keeps us from being able to expand into Cosmic Consciousness and take our place among the star people. The time is now! Are you ready to make that shift?
