Making New Year's Resolutions in the Akashic Records

     Most of the hectic preparations for the holidays are over, except perhaps for last-minute shopping on Christmas Eve or preparing that holiday feast. As 2011 comes rushing to an end, we turn our attention to the promise of 2012 and our expectations of all that enigmatic year will bring.

     New Year’s Day is traditionally a day of reflection and contemplation of changes we want to make in our lives for the coming year. There are always resolutions to eat better, get more exercise, be 20 pounds lighter by summer, to quit smoking or indulging in a myriad of other behaviors. It seems that most New Year’s Resolutions are forgotten by the end of January, no matter how much we promise ourselves that this year is going to be different! 

     What if we made our resolutions in a different way this year? Would you be more resolute to keep your promises to yourself if the resolution was made from your Soul’s perspective?

     The Akashic Records are an infinite resource for personal development and spiritual growth. The beauty of working in the Records is that they can provide guidance even if you do not know what questions to ask.

     So often we access our Records with an agenda in mind. How do I mend this relationship issue? I need guidance in dealing with my rebellious teenager. Should I get another job? What do I have to do to meet my soulmate? The Records are the perfect place to ask all of these questions. I urge you to take your troubles, confusion, and heartaches into the Akashic Records in order to obtain a soul-level perspective on all of life’s questions.

     However, there is a very rich depth of guidance that may be revealed by asking your Masters, Teachers, and Loved Ones to bring to your mind a particular situation that needs to be addressed. Allow Them to show you an area of your life where a change could be transformative. Just being willing to listen and expressing a conscious desire to align with your Soul’s purpose will open up a whole new realm of possibilities. 

     Once you have opened your Akashic Records with The Pathway Prayer ©, settle into the energy of this sanctuary of unconditional love and ask to be shown from your Soul’s perspective what you need to change in your life in order to fulfill your Soul’s purposes.

     Does that sound like a daunting proposition? There is nothing to fear. This is a realm of perfect love and there is no judgment. If your Masters, Teachers, and Loved Ones suggest something that seems impossible for you to accomplish, respectfully tell Them, “This is too much! I cannot see how that is possible.”  Ask Them to break it down for you, to show you steps you can take to reach the ultimate goal.

     It is very important that you take action towards whatever suggestion is given. Through your work in your own Records you are building a relationship with these infinite Beings, who up until now have guided your development from a subconscious level. By asking to be shown what change you need to make in your life, you are consciously and deliberately aligning with your Soul’s purpose, perhaps for the first time in your life. How could you refuse whatever suggestion is given? This is direct, conscious contact with your eternal Soul, your true Self. This is the first step toward surrendering the conscious ego to your highest, best Self.

     As you continue to practice in your Records with this line of inquiry, asking your Soul to show you the questions to ask, what changes to make, what Path to follow, you gradually move into the grace of a Soul-led life. This willingness to ask for revelation opens up new vistas of possibility for your life. The activities of each day are guided by synchronicities that you watch for expectantly and acknowledge with gratitude. Living in this state of grace, every situation in your life brings a blessing and miracles abound.

     May 2012 be a year of transformation for you.
