HOUSTON, TX--I must admit—like everybody else giving expert opinions—I haven’t read the law. This puts me at the same level of expertise as federal and state officials who seem to have wildly diverse opinions as to how Arizona’s citizens should handle the foreign takeover of their state.
I’ve deducted from watching the news that I’m one of a growing number of U.S. citizens who are beginning to realize that Arizona is situated on the U.S. side of a long border now controlled by Mexico, a country determined to milk every possible penny from the U.S. be it from illegal immigration, drug smuggling or human trafficking. Calderon, in a recent TV interview, made it clear that he wants unrestricted public access into the U.S. for his countrymen. Our federal government, smiling from ear-to-ear, has given its approval for the Mexican Mafia invasion by refusing to control the border and challenging the Arizona immigration law in court.
After watching Governor Brewer discuss the horrendous problems her state has with illegal immigration, and watching fools protesting the new law, it appears to me that some people think folks in Arizona should suck it up and allow themselves to be slaughtered and robbed while turning a blind eye to human trafficking, drug smuggling, and child prostitution. All this just so people caught committing illegal acts in Arizona won’t be inconvenienced by having to show proof of citizenship.
In fact, Judge Bolton just ruled that because many legal aliens don’t have proof of legal status on their person, they would be “subject to undue harassment” if they were to be asked for documentation after being arrested for criminal activity. The fact that she didn’t rule that they should be served caviar and champagne while they’re in custody is pure negligence on her part and should be investigated—by the Justice Department.
Things are progressing right along though. Although Governor Brewer will never admit it, the feds have made giant steps toward solving the problem. They have actually gone to the trouble to put up signs in the desert warning Americans that the Mexican drug lords now own that particular strip of the US and can legally kill trespassers. (Well, maybe not legally, but they'll never be caught or prosecuted. That's as close to legal as you can get isn't it?)
How would you like to walk out of your back door and see signs like these?
(Translation: Stay out of the way of machine gun fire. This property belongs to Mexico. Your American citizenship cannot and your federal government will not protect you from violence if you insist on trespassing.)
(Translation: Look the other way. Children aren’t hurt by drugs and prostitution as much as you think. Young people readily adapt to most circumstances if enough pressure is applied.)
(Translation: Remember, this property still belongs to Mexico. A deeper, wider swath will be deeded over later as needed, so be alert.)
(Translation: This property is beginning to LOOK like Mexico which is one more indication of ownership.)
(Translation: Don’t expect immediate results. Federal law enforcement officers will have to consult with protestors and the Mexican government before confronting drug smugglers and human traffickers.)
For those who want to boycott Arizona or oppose this law in court, pull your heads out, take several deep breaths to get your brains working again, and think about what a horrible sentence you're willing to pass onto the citizens of Arizona—both Anglo and Mexican. Now try to find your Christian moral values that you've obviously lost in the same dark place from which your head was extricated.
Just so there’s no misunderstanding, let me explain, I am not Anti-Mexican or anti-Mexico. My ex is Mexican, which means my daughter is half Mexican, and my grand-kids are one quarter Mexican. My in-laws are wonderful people, whose ancestors came here legally several generations ago, and they are royally pissed right now with the antics of illegal immigrants.
