Why a Community?

HOUSTON, TX--We knew when we embarked on this journey with The New Era Times that we were creating a community—I like to think of it as a Mutual Admiration Society. We have talented individuals who see the increasing benefits of working in energetic synergy with other talented folks to create something grander than any individual could ever manifest on their own. Group efforts are becoming increasingly important in today’s world and the individual efforts of the “lone wolf” will become more and more difficult as our energies shift into higher gear. We are becoming ever more connected with each other on all levels which I see as a good thing for our planet and our species.

We launched in June 2010 and have already attracted an amazing roster of people to our TNETimes community. Our goal is to expand with only the best of the best in all categories, and we have a really good starting line-up of columnists.

The writers we have been blessed with so far write on a broad range of topics and I have no doubt you have heard of some of these folks as their reputations are stellar. Let’s take a look at some of these amazingly talented individuals.

The green living section will deal with all things that concern the environment and alternative wellness, and so far we have five very qualified and enthusiastic columnists:

  4. The Path of Tea with tea expert, Thia McKann, will be shining some light on the wellness and fun aspects of tea in her column. Thia’s column will not be introduced until September.
  5. Wellness Wisdom by Ellen L. Hughes’ will report on alternative and complimentary approaches to getting and staying healthy.

Spirituality and religion will be areas we explore which are sure to supply some controversial take on the matter. We currently have one columnist but more are in the works so stay tuned if this topic is something you want to delve further into:

  2. Ask Nuala written by an unknown tongue-in-cheek, smarty-pants for those that enjoy a dose of sarcasm and humor about their concerns.

And last but not least is me, Peggy Sue Skipper. My ongoing column is entitled “Why?” and that should keep me busy for years to come as I have always been one to ask “Why?”

All of our articles will be archived on the various columnists’ landing page with all of their background information as well as links to any of their online information such as blogs or internet radio shows. So, if you find a favorite writer you will have the option of reading past work submitted by them in addition to any current articles! Please let us get your feedback on the articles which really resonate with you.

What a blessing it is for us to provide a vehicle for these wonderful people and the information they have to share. Now, THAT’S A COMMUNITY!
